Sounds of Peace-Testimonies

Testimonies

~Jennifer T.: Kitty, I’m overwhelmed watching my dad… eyes closed, smiling, listening to your music on Sounds of Peace. This is definitely bringing him peace [as he walks this final journey in Hospice]. He just said, "Be Not Afraid is on," and then he smiled at me. Oh, what joy this brings my heart! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this precious gift to him and to me.

>~Mary J.: My DIL's grandmother is on Hospice care and has been very agitated, saying she is being attacked by bad men and greatly harassed. Though Catholic, she was a user of tarot cards [and other occult practices.] I sent her your Sounds of Peace player, and she loves it.  It has brought new life to her!! Thank you Kitty for using your profound gift in this way.

~Parish V.: I was in the hospital [with COVID-19] and my world was crashing around me. I was so sad, crying for [my loved ones who also have COVID-19 and are in the hospital or who might have it]...And then came a little knock on my door and my nurse comes in and says, “Parish, the Catholic Church dropped these MP3 players loaded with music on them for our patients to listen to. Would you like one?”  I said, sure, I would love one. I read the information that was in a little blue pouch. I read the bottom of the card, "Please pray for the special intentions of Maria Mandras." I learned that it was Sounds of Peace, and the artist was Kitty Cleveland. Little did I know my life would change right then and there. As soon as I turned on the music, a calm came across my body. All my doubts, fears, and sickness left my body. I felt inspired and loved by God. The doctor came in and said you look too healthy to be here. Would you like to go home? I started to cry again...I thank Sounds of Peace and Kitty Cleveland for the fantastic music that they sent to me at my lowest point.

~Lydia J.: My dear friend starting crying as soon as she heard your lovely voice on the SOP player. It made her day despite the harsh medication given to ease her pain. She hugged the rosary that I made for her when she started hearing the first mystery. She started letting everyone who came in her room know about your Sounds of Peace. She had the most beautiful smile and she fell asleep like a baby. Her nurse shared that this was first time that she did not ask for medicine to help her sleep.

~Deacon Dave: My wife passed away on Monday evening. She was at Our Lady of Wisdom for the past eight years with Alzheimer’s. She was with Notre Dame Hospice and her Hospice Nurse brought in and hooked her up to one of your Sounds of Peace gifts as she was in the final days of her life. She passed very peacefully. I just wanted to thank you for your generosity and goodness. I know it brought great comfort to her, especially in her final hours [when I could not be there due to Covid restrictions]. Thank you, thank you. Know that you and your ministry will be remembered in my prayers always. May God continue to shower you with many graces and love.

~Nurse Donnette: Kitty, I asked God to lead me to those who need this comfort and peace. Today it was [Ms. G]. She received the sad news yesterday that she has cancer and the family had to be told over the phone. I took my time and showed her how to work the Sounds of Peace MP3 player. Her smile was priceless. I have given a few to different units and have faith that God will place them where they belong. Thank you to the donor, and thank you, Kitty, for your comforting voice and big heart. It’s wonderful to be able to work together to spread joy.

~A Doctor from University Medical: Kitty, the Sounds of Peace players and your music were the perfect gift for our COVID patients, who struggle with isolation and the disease. You inspire.

~Polly: On July 10, 2020, my husband, who is my best friend, was diagnosed with COVID-19. He was declining rapidly, put on a ventilator, and given a 10% chance of survival. I was devastated and felt helpless and alone. On July 24th I received a phone call that would change me for the rest of my life. A man named Parish offered to donate convalescent plasma to help my husband. When the hospital said they weren't set up for that, Parish brought me his Sounds of Peace player. Kitty starts by talking about how we must forgive those who hurt us to enter into heaven. I fell asleep listening to it, and when I woke up the next morning, I knew there was a man I had to forgive if I wanted to receive God's mercy (he hurt someone very badly whom I love, and I never thought I could forgive him). I picked up the phone and told him I forgave him. A huge burden was lifted from me when I made the call. That same day Parish called Kitty so she could pray with me over the phone for my husband's healing. And the next day my husband had a remarkable turn-around. He is now out of the hospital and is in a treatment facility, completely off of oxygen! I want to thank you, Kitty, for giving me the strength to make that call and forgive. Thank you for reaching out and praying for us. You give me strength. And thank you, God, for Parish and his wife, Julie. God sent me these three angels on earth to help me get through a very difficult time in my life. I am blessed.

~Christine: Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the awesome music and player. The Lord has truly blessed you with magnificent teaching, testimony, songs, and music. It is more than peace--it is a glimpse of heaven. Thank you for sharing this grace with us. God bless you and the people who are able to finance this ministry.

~Shannon: I listen to your music and do the Divine Mercy chaplet with Sounds of Peace almost every night. It is so calming and peaceful during these difficult times. I love your examination of conscience too at the beginning. I cannot thank you enough for your ministry and your voice is so beautiful. I appreciate you sharing it with the world.

~Debi: My husband, John, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and brain cancer in 2019. When all of the treatments failed, we elected to begin Hospice care. By this time John could not speak or walk anymore, and seizures moved to the left side of his body as the tumor grew. Hospice helped to prepare me to accept my husband’s crossover. Little miracles were happening. My sister brought your music and Sounds of Peace MP3 player, and it filled my home, my husband, and me with peace.  I played your music as often as I could. The Hospice nurse commented several times about how our home was filled with peace. Our children came in all together and surrounded John’s bed. He woke up from a coma and stayed with them for about 15 minutes. That evening as I was sitting by his bed, John woke up, lifted his hand, and touched my face. Two days later, my precious husband crossed over from earthly life into God’s heavenly kingdom. I still play your music for peace, Kitty. Thank you.

~DeeDee: When my sister Lisa was in her last days [she died at age 52 from cancer] and in a good bit of pain and anxiety, I would play your music to her from my phone and she would immediately become calm. It was just such a blessing to us. Then two friends gifted her with your Sounds of Peace player. This made me so happy because, once I left, I knew she would continue to listen to it. The other day my sister Bonnie and I started the difficult task of going through her things. Bobby gave both of us the Sounds of Peace player, and I listen to it all the time. It makes me feel like she is listening to it with me. I feel her presence more than ever when I hear your music. I started listening to your rosary and music years ago when all 3 of us along with my mom when to a Stuart Hall Christmas concert where you sang. Your voice is such a blessing to me.

~Jaimie: Kitty, I got a Sounds of Peace player for my 91-year-old uncle.  He is my dad’s only sibling and is one of the many elderly that has been isolated in a nursing home.  The same day that I received it, I also received a phone call from my dear friend, Mary, that her sister Annie was entering her final days with ALS.  I was able to bring the player to Annie on Monday and pray with her. Tuesday evening, she passed away.  Her sister had placed an earbud in each of their ears and they were listening to the beautiful music together.  Apparently, when “On Eagles Wings” ended, Annie went to Jesus! Mary said it was the holiest moment she had ever experienced, knowing that Annie was hearing the beautiful songs that she longed to be able to sing once again just as the angels arrived to escort her home. Thank you, Kitty, for sharing your gifts and talents (and your precious daughter with the live rosary each morning)!

~Jimmy: Jerry called me about 5:00 pm this evening. The first words out of his mouth were thankfulness for Kitty Cleveland’s recording of her songs that were given to us yesterday by our Lisa Rockwell, and given to Jerry by his son Doug this morning. Jerry raved about the PEACE that it gave him--he felt God’s presence. What a BLESSING Kitty Cleveland’s music is to him. (Next Day) Doug talked at length of the “miracle” that he witnessed yesterday after putting the earplugs to Kitty Cleveland’s Sounds of Peace in his ears. He said his dad’s expression changed from total stress to total peace. Doug noted that his dad was mumbling, talking to Our Lord and every now and then would make the sign of the cross, each time with a smile on his face. What a Blessing is Kitty Cleveland and this ministry.

~Milly: I just wanted to thank you and let you know how much my friend Pat loves her Mp3 player. When I first walked in to see her, she had just told the social worker that she could not sleep at night, and it was recommended that she try some meditation apps. Then she opened your beautiful player and was so excited, saying that it would be perfect for her. She let me know the next day that it worked wonderfully and really did help her relax. She begins chemo tomorrow. This arrived just at the right time! Thanks for all that you do and for your beautiful ministry.

~Nurse Emily: Our patients, particularly dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's patients love [the Sounds of Peace players]. Thank you!

~Nurse Renee: I have handed out almost all 50 of the MP3 players we were so graciously given when I first started the Integrative Oncology Program in 2021 at the St. Tammany Cancer Center, A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center. I was brand new at this position and honestly with everything that goes on with learning a new job, I kind of forgot about them. I went to the CCRNO Women's retreat last January and Kitty was the speaker. I was KNOCKED OVER THE HEAD by Jesus saying...Hello, remember about the MP3's!!!! My patients love them , and I have even had many non-Catholic patients accept the Sounds of Peace and tell me they love it.

~Lee Vallon: Kitty, I wanted to let you know that a few years ago I came to your house to pick up one of your MP3 players with your beautiful music for a friend who was diagnosed with cancer. His name is Danny, and he died a few months after receiving your music, which he said brought him so much peace. He told me he felt God‘s love through your beautiful voice. Thank you for your beautiful ministry.
