My mom, Diane Fahy, met Kitty Cleveland at a women’s convention in Oxford, Michigan at Queen of the Families. She brought home the beautiful story of Kitty’s life and her CD “Sacred Arias”, and it touched me. She certainly has the voice of an angel and she sings like a dream. Hi, Kitty, I saw you on a taped segment of “Life on the Rock” while visiting my parents for the Christmas holidays. My Mom has Parkinson’s disease and the TV is always set on EWTN. I just wanted to say how beautifully I thought you sang. I was moved and inspired for my own singing for Christmas. I am a professional Classical singer, as well as a Catholic Church cantor. I sing on Radio Mass of Baltimore every Sunday. In the past few years I have been growing in clarity about the ministry that my singing is. What I appreciated about your performances on the show was the freedom and artistry of your singing (like you really can sing!), as well as that it was clearly from your heart. Thank you for the contribution you make to a lot of people, and thank you for the contribution you have made to me this Christmas season.

Kitty, your voice is a miracle. How blessed we felt at St. Columba in Durango, Colorado to have you join us for Mass and to sing to us on Sunday evening. God has given you such a beautiful gift and you are so generous to share it so graciously.

I first heard Kitty play the Mother Abbess in Tulane Lyric Summer Theater’s production of The Sound of Music. When she hit those high, full notes in “Climb Every Mountain” I got goose bumps! That was several years ago. I am now getting married and was thrilled to be able to contact her via her Sacred Arias CD. She has an unparalleled range and tone, and is a joy to listen to.

Dear Kitty, You performed at St. Timothy Catholic Community in Mesa, AZ this past Thursday. Your performance was very moving, mostly I’d say, because it was not a performance. One of the ideals I share with you and try to convey to the catechumens and candidates is to be real and authentic. Our world, sadly, is too full of half-hearted, wish-washy Catholic Christians. Dear Kitty, I am sixteen years old and live in Chandler, Arizona. I am also a member of the St. Timothy’s congregation and recently attended your concert. It was absolutely amazing! Truly, I can’t recall ever hearing a voice that touched me quite like yours. I also thought it interesting that the homily that particular night was about the lack of religious fervor in the adult church community which consequently negatively affects the teens. I suppose I somewhat agree with what he had to say, but then I heard you speak and sing and it was obvious that you are the epitome of the Christian role model. Hearing the story of your father was particularly poignant (…especially due to the fact that I am planning on going into law…).
