Dear Ms. Cleveland,

The prayer service and adoration at OLL last night was beautiful and very moving. Thank you for your time and for all your efforts in making it such a spiritual event.   You have a magnificent, powerful voice,….very prayerful……a gift!!   Thank you for sharing.

I attend OLL church  and have been blessed to attend mass (over the years)  when you sing.  I do have several of your CDs. May God Continue to Bless You. Thanks again~

Kathleen

Dear Kitty,

Thank you for saying "yes" to the Lord. I recently purchased your CD The Miracle of Divine Mercy and enjoy your beautiful singing and testimony. You may be aware of the gentleman who wrote the lyrics to "Amazing Grace," John Newton. He experienced a sudden conversion through the grace and mercy of our Lord. Rev. Newton was a Captain of a slave ship who gave his life to the Lord after his amazing conversion and became a minister to proclaim the Gospel and the power of God's mercy.

I too had a similar conversion experience. Both you and Immaculee are virtuous women who came from virtuous families much like St. Faustina. I met Immaculee when I took my daughter to the Columbus, OH Women's Conference. She was the first person to articulate for me the sudden conversion that occurs when the Lord fills our heart with His grace. You too share that in your testimony. Mr. Newton's, St. Paul's, and many others like myself, who lived wretched lives, talk about a much more violent conversion experience, but we all end up in the same place…….in love with the Lord and dedicated to living according to His Will.

My conversion happened in Dec. 2008. God spoke to me in an audible voice saying, "You have a purpose." I felt the full presence of the Lord and was frightened to the very core of my being. I knew that God knew everything about me. He gave me the unforgettable blessing of the terrifying experience of being naked before Him to face my judgment. I knew that with a whisper, God could take my life and give me my just punishment, but He gave me His mercy instead. I reflected on His words and I realized that He was giving me a second chance. I surrendered my life to Him in that very moment and have been on that journey ever since.

On the evening of my conversion, I discerned with the Lord what He was asking me to do. I had an overwhelming feeling that Christ was calling me to unite the Christian community and to witness to the power of His mercy. As I closed my eyes after hours of discernment, I had a vision of myself in a row boat. A few years before my conversion, I had made an announcement amongst friends and family that I was going to row across the North Atlantic Ocean. There was no explanation where that desire came from and it caused a lot of laughter and became a bit of an ongoing joke. I knew immediately that my vision was connected to my proclamation years earlier, and I began plans to put together a rowing expedition across the North Atlantic. The expedition would be dedicated to Christian Unity.

Attached please find a flyer that describes the three ministries within EMBARKE. All of them are intended to direct focus to God. I am reaching out to you for help with making the rowing expedition a success. My goal is to row the North Atlantic in June 20010 and incorporate a 54 day Novena so that we could celebrate the Feast of the birth of Mary on Sept. 8. Coincidentally, 54 days would break the 55 day world record that was set in 1896 by two very brave Norwegian immigrants from NY. It would be wonderful to share the Blessed Rosary with Christians around the world to learn and experience. Imagine the power of 54 day Novena prayed by millions of Christians in unison. Please let me know if there is any interest in learning more about EMBARKE and possibly helping me garner support for the expedition.

Very Truly Yours, Greg

Dear Greg,

What a wonderful story!  May God abundantly bless your efforts.  I’m not sure what I can do for you, but feel free to ask if you have any specific ideas.  One thing I would definitely recommend (though you probably already have one) is to get a very holy spiritual director to guide you through this apostolate.  God bless you!  Kitty

Thank you for your reply, Kitty. Your advice is very apropos. I have been reading St. Faustina's diary, Divine Mercy In My Soul, and have become aware of the importance of finding the appropriate spiritual director or confessor to confide in as I continue to discern the Lord's calling. I have taken comfort in reading St. Faustina's struggles with finding the right person. I too have experienced similar struggles, and like St. Faustina, the Lord used these trials to reveal His desire for me to fully place my trust in Him. Please pray that I find the right  spiritual director (I have a meeting with a Dominican Friar next week).

May the Lord continue to draw you ever closer to Him during this blessed Holy Week. Thank you for saying "yes" to God through your beautiful ministry. I will offer a prayer of thanksgiving in your name for your continued work to bring others closer to Christ. Have a wonderful Easter!

P.S. Your Divine Mercy CD is a source of frustration for my wife. Not because of your singing, but due to my attempts to sing along with you. I once asked her if I managed to hit any high notes. She responded by saying, "ask me if you hit any notes!"

Kitty, we corresponded briefly a couple of years ago after my husband and I "discovered" you (your voice on CD) at the St. Mary's in the Mts. Church in Virginia City, NV.  I receive your emails regularly but am too far from New Orleans to be able to attend performances there personally.  However, I forwarded your last announcement to my cousin in Covington and she attended the Monday evening concert in Mandeville.  She called on her way home to report to me how beautiful and clear your voice was and how very much she enjoyed hearing you.  I hope that at some point you will do a concert closer to us, or at least give us enough lead time to plan to get to the New Orleans area.  I do hope things are going well for you.

Hi Kitty!  Have you ever thought about making a Lullabye CD?  I’d love for my baby to hear your soothing voice at night!  Hope you are well!

Mary Grace K.

Dear Mrs. Kitty,

My name is Mary Grace K.  I am a 5th grader at Our Lady of Lourdes school in Slidell.  I heard you sing at OLL Church after Katrina.  I am doing a research project for my fifth grade language class on a musician who has influenced New Orleans' musical heritage.  And I picked you!  I think you sing awesome, and you really helped us heal after the Hurricane.  I would like to ask you a few questions:

  • Where were you born?
  • What is your birthday?
  • What is your educational background? Based on your CD, I understand that you are a graduate of Chapelle, then went to Newcomb College, obtained your law degree from Tulane, and your Masters in Social Work from Southeastern Louisiana University.
  • What type of music do you sing?  What is your favorite?
  • What awards have you won?
  • What are you doing now?
  • I know that you are very devoted to Eucharistic Adoration (my family is too!).  Could you share on this?
  • I think that you have influenced New Orleans' musical heritage by helping us heal after Katrina.  What does your song, "Eye of the Storm" mean to you?
  • Are there any other interesting facts that you would like me to include in my project?

Thank you so much for helping me with this project and for singing so beautifully for the Lord!!!  God Bless You! Thanks, Mary Grace

P.S.  My parents are James and Patricia K.  You sang at their wedding on June 7, 1997 at the old Our Lady of Lourdes Church building that was destroyed in Katrina.  And my Mom heard you speak at her Familia group a couple of years ago at St. Luke's Church in Slidell.

I love to sing your songs.  It brings me joy and inspiration to start my day and keep going.    How can I have the lyrics of these songs:

1) now you come to me

Please let me know. Thank you,

Kitty, I received your wonderful new Chant CD. I have played it and played it. It is SO EXTRAORDINARY! Your lovely and God-given voice comes through so very beautifully on each selection. Having lost my sweetest mother this past August 30th, I find such peace in your voice. Thank you so much.

Thank you for coming to St. Timothy’s! I wasn’t able to hear your entire concert, as I was working in our gift shop. But I was able to hear the last half hour–what a blessing for me! Music is such an important part of my life, of my praise and worship to our God. Your music touches my hear and adds greatly to my day. I pray for your continued success in your ministry–you bring such joy to so many! God bless you, Judy Santoni

Dear Kitty, Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice and sharing your beautiful story. My husband and I were able to hear you last Sunday morning on Immaculate Heart Radio. I was moved to tears and joy by your story! You are blessed also with the gift of speaking. You spoke from the heart and your story was so real–I could relate to some of your challenges in growing closer to our Lord. I had heard about your Dad’s story and then to put the two story’s together. Wow! What an awesome God we have. I’m very sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. It’s never easy losing a loved one. I just realized, too, that you are the beautiful singer on the rosary I sing and pray with in the evening on the radio. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you. Thank you for this offer for cassettes to give to the sick and dying. I right now am honored to get to go visit with a holy woman and she would be I’m sure comforted in your songs, especially the tape with “Ave Maria.” That’s her favorite song. I volunteer with Vista Hospice in Albq, NM. If you still have other tapes, please send to me I will find a good home for them to share with other dying patients. Enclosed is $20.00 to use towards shipping. Send what you can if you still have some. If not, please keep money and use towards your music. I just bought your Surrender CD and very much looking forward to listening to it. Thanks, again, for sharing your story and your beautiful voice. Hugs to your beautiful daughter. Your sister in Christ,

Cindy D.

+JMJ Hi Kitty, Sunday morning I heard you on “Life on the Rock”(1570 AM Philadelphia). Your story moved me to tears–thank you! Just came back from my daughter’s volleyball game, shared with some moms your beautiful story. Couldn’t rest until I found some of your CDs (not sure if you noticed the time I placed the order =)….Thank you, Kitty. Also a wonderful place to reach more souls here is The Bulletin, “Philadelphia’s family newspaper.” It has been back in circulation for a couple years now. The editor is a faithful Catholic always looking for inspiring stories(in August they wrote about a family and how they celebrate the Assumption each year by renewing their St. Louis DeMontfort “Total Consecration” to Jesus through Mary!). God Bless you and your beautiful work!

We have a wonderful Catholic shop here in Marietta, GA called “Mary’s Garden”. The owner lent me her copy of your Divine Mercy CD, and I went back and bought every CD of yours that she had! (My order is for the ones she didn’t have!) I hope you continue to make beautiful music 🙂

Kitty, I wanted to check on availability of any tapes for nursing homes. I am interested in any but wanted to know especially if Surrender still is available. I played your tapes for Don at the hospital during his last earthly days. You sang him right up to heaven into the arms of Jesus & Mary. With His Love,

Patti Bosch

Hello Dear Kitty, I went on my very first pilgrimage to HOLY LOVE in Elyria, Ohio this past weekend, and I was introduced to your music at the 3:00 pm hour for the Divine Mercy hour. I have never in my life heard any music more angelic than your voice. I wept all during the Divine Mercy Chaplet. I have never felt closer to Jesus and Blessed Mother than that day! I just didn’t think about about a CD until I returned home and called the gift shop. I asked who the singer was and by that time Holy Love gift shop had sold out. They gave me your name and I looked it up on the internet and now I am waiting for my precious treasure to arrive. When I hear your voice I feel that is the sound of the heavens! Right now I am able to get a few of the songs free on My Space and have been playing them over and over and over! What a gift from God that you have been given. I like the old hyms the best…. You have definitely added much to my spirituality! God Bless you, Kitty.

Hello, could you please tell me how I could purchase a copy of Kitty’s story that she recorded on “Magnificat Women” on EWTN. I heard only a portion of it and was so moved. I would like to share it also with my rosary group…thanks very much, in JMJ.

Kitty, When I went to a service at Holy Love @ Marantha Spring in Ohio, I heard this beautiful song playing at the 3pm prayer service. It was you singing the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and it was the most lovely upbeat version of it I had ever heard. Since that time I have spent nearly 2 weeks looking for that song, and you do not know how giddy I was when I actually found it. Thank you for doing that in song!!

Thank you for such a wonderful, inspirational, delightful, magnificent, enjoyable, and awesome concert at our St. Peter’s Catholic Church Harvest Festival last Sunday! I play and sing my heart out with your Surrender CD. WOW! I think I sound like you. I have a wide range in my voice but no training. I just sing for God and church family. You touched many hearts that day. Now some of us in Marshall, MO are more blessed because of your testimony and witness about our Lord, who we should give thanks to every day. I told one lady to play your CD daily so you could walk with her thru her husband’s liver cancer… they are carrying a big cross at this moment. God bless you in your concerts ahead. I am so touched and I hate it that I did not get a picture with you. I was so overwhelmed that I was speechless!

Good Morning Kitty, Just a quick note to properly thank you for your wonderful Music Ministry and for coming to St. Peter’s on Sunday. Your reviews are still coming in!! Bill and I feel so Blessed to have spent some time with you while you were with us and we are praying that now that you are home safely that the storm will not touch you or your family or your city. I have your music on this morning and play it morning, noon and night. I am on my way to the oral surgeon this morning and your music is relaxing me. I hope our church can have you back every year for our Parish Festival. God Bless you and continue to bless people with your song. Sincerely in Christ, Connie Rieth
