Kitty, I have to share with you how your song, “Now You Come to Me” has affected my life. It is such an inspiration to me personally and I have shared it with family and friends who have agreed it is so beautiful. Each and every word has such meaning in our beloved John Paul’s life, and in mine. I am a Salesian Cooperator of St. John Bosco and have enjoyed reading his books, especially the book called Dreams, Visions and Prophecies. In one dream he shared in his book, he had a vision of heaven when one of his students who died at a young age, came to him in a dream and showed him glimpses of heaven. His name was Dominic Savio. As in your song where you sang, “I have never known, I’ve never seen, I’ve never heard such beauty,” Theses were almost the exact words Don Bosco used to describe heaven! I share this story with all I meet, and I especially use it in my Bereavement Ministry at St. John Bosco Church in Harvey. I have taped your song, I hope you don’t mind, on a recorder to bring with me as I make visits to those in need of hope, peace and the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Just recently I made a visit to West Jeff. Hospital to visit a friend who was terminal. I told him I would bring the song to him the next day, I hadn’t recorded it as yet then, and wanted so much to help put his soul at peace as he listened to the words of your song. I awoke the next morning with, “Now you come to me” playing over and over in my head, an hour later, I received a call that my friend had passed to heaven. I figured God was telling me through your song that He was now in heaven with Him, for all I could do the night before was pray that he found peace as I sang your song and prayed the Divine Mercy and Rosary for my friend. I thank God for the gift He has given us in this song! May God bless you with many graces and many more beatiful songs to share with us all!
