Danielle Laird

Hello Kitty,

This is Danielle, your 'assistant' from last weekend at Christ the Redeemer in Houston, TX.   I so enjoyed getting to meet you and hear your songs and your testimony.  You are so gracious and humble, and we were blessed that you could share your charisms with us.

Just wanted to share a little 'God moment' that you helped to bring to me:  I was especially drawn in by your song "God Alone is Enough" at Advent By Candlelight on Friday night.  I bought the album, and have had that beautiful song in my head ever since.

You know I am expecting, and one of the girl baby names we are considering is Teresa for St. Teresa of Avila.  I've secrety been leaning towards it… My birthday was yesterday, and my husband gave me a book called My Sisters the Saints, a spiritual Memoir.  In the first section, she talks about St. Teresa, and how much she identified with her, was inspired by her, etc.  And I kept thinking "Yes, maybe this little one is a Teresa…", and then they quoted her famous poem:

Let nothing disturb you

Let nothing frighten you…

All things are passing away.

God never changes.

And tears welled up in my eyes!  Here was the very same beautiful song that has been on my lips for the past 3 days!  I am a person who battles the sin of anxiety and worry, and this was just a confirmation of God's love and care for me, and that I need to trust in him.

Thank you for this song, and thank you for your visit to us last weekend.

God Bless You!

Best,

Danielle Laird
